I find it really amazing how shit can happen with everything you touch sometimes...
Yesterday morning, I wanted to take a shower before going to work. I removed my cute pink dotted underwear, my 10 years old favourite t-shirt and jumped in the shower, praying God that I could open my eyes before getting at work. 2 minutes later, while I was enjoying the smelling of my marvelous Petit Marseillais soap, I smelled something unusual, almost stinky, until I eventually felt some ugly mud on my feet.

Jesus Christ (or something more vulgar), my drain is blocked!
At this very moment, an awful feeling of abandonment and fear grew in my mind... Ok, too late to clean it now, let's put half a litre of Destop in this stagnating water and let's see if it helps.
4 hours later: same problem. It seems I will need more than one bottle of Destop to get rid of this blocked pipe... Moreover, vapors of this toxic liquid affected my brain and now I'm almost sick. Yukk! Of course I tried the suction cup I won at a contest (yes, I know...), but this was worse than without it.

Since I am sure lots of people find this story very interesting, I may release a short movie about it, and why not a DVD that I will sell on eBay, to buy more Destop...

And did I mention I almost screwed our server at work?

Well it seems some design company has done it. Creating a keyboard on which every key has its own tiny LCD screen, allowing each program to control the value of each key. Oh, well, my explanation is crap.
The keyboard is expected to be available in 2006.

I have been wondering lately how I could use blumaise.org as a shoutcast relay. Sometimes I stream some live mix, and since upload bandwidth here in France is incredibly little (thanks to Wanadoo!), only one person can listen to it at a time. So I wondered if it would be possible to use a relay with more bandwidth. I could have installed Shoutcast server on my web account, but I can't do that because I don't have a dedicated server.
Well, then how could I do? There should be a way to write a php script that would do that well. Get the stream from my house, then make it available to more people. If anyone has an idea, please let me know in the comments!

Oh and by the way, I uploaded my last mix, streamed live for only one person. Quite crappy, but feel free to listen to it, it's right in radio blog, here on your right.

Ah ! Ça y est, j'ai reçu le clavier que j'avais commandé 2 mois et demi auparavant... Une petite merveille, très confortable, rapide et avec des drivers pourris. Mais bon je ne me suis jamais servi des touches de raccourci sur les claviers (messagerie, musique etc), donc cela ne me dérange aucunement.
Le modèle est un Logitech UltraX, en rupture de stock quasiment partout maintenant, certainement victime de son succès. Il y a de quoi.
La course des touches est très courte comme sur un portable, elles réagissent très bien, ont une excellente sensation, et sont garanties pour 1 million de frappes.

Le client de messagerie instantanée, c'est Miranda IM. Petit, minimaliste mais très évolutif (des dizaines de plugins sont disponibles), gratuit, stable et pas lourdingue comme MSN. J'adore.

C'est super la vie nan ? :D
